Abstract

Rosine Jozef Perelberg is a training and supervising analyst, and former president (2019-2022) of the British Psychoanalytical Society. She is a visiting professor at the Psychoanalysis Unit of University College London and a corresponding member of the Paris Psychoanalytical Society. Holding a PhD in social anthropology from the London School of Economics (University of London), she won the Sigourney Award in 2023 for her work in fostering a creative dialogue between psychoanalysis and social anthropology, addressing issues of temporality, sexuality, and antisemitism. In 2019, her book Psychic bisexuality: a British-French dialogue won the American Board & Academy of Psychoanalysis Book Prize for best edited book. In Brazil, in 2006, she was selected as one of the Ten Women of the Year by the National Women’s Council of Brazil. Rosine is a Brazilian anthropologist, psychoanalyst, thinker, and creative writer, She lives and works in London, where she maintains a private practice.
